Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex

Salary: up to circa £55,000 depending on experience with benefits and bonus

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am-5.30pm

About the role

Our client is an award-winning originator of residential and buy to let mortgages. Our client is expanding their range of products and as a result are growing their team over 2019. The purpose of the position is to create processes and a quality assurance monitoring framework.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be required to work with all levels of the lending operations team, supporting managers, providing feedback and reviewing processes and procedures, making recommendations for change and training where required.

Responsibilities and Experience required for the role of Quality Assurance Manager

  • Undertake quality assurance reviews on a monthly basis across the operational area in line with the Quality assurance framework and procedures
  • Feedback in a professional manner the results of Quality Assurance reviews to all stakeholders as required
  • Prepare and present monthly reporting on key findings together with recommendations
  • Identify and highly key themes
  • Engage with key staff to ensure the audit findings and results for the team are owned to enable these to be addressed with training or performance management
  • Where errors are found ensure corrective action is taken where applicable
  • Engage with Senior Operations Manager and the Operational Manager to deliver finding on a regular basis
  • Engage with 2nd line Quality Assurance to ensure audits are robust and consistent
  • Conduct targeted audits across the 1st line checks which have been undertaken by line managers to review consistency and ensure robustness of reported results
  • Identify and suggest improvements and changed to systems, processes and policy
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are in line with current regulation
  • Take ownership and responsibility for conducting oversight and high-risk audits across the operations team
  • Define and deliver a risk-based approach to audit selections ensuring high risk areas are audited
  • Experience required: Mortgage lending knowledge and experience is essential. Specialist lending experience would be highly desirable. Proven track record of establishing and embedding quality assurance in a similar function. Knowledge of best practice quality assurance practices

  • Ability to coach and develop team members
