About our client

Our client is a specialist consumer finance start up with very ambitious plans. With substantial private equity backing, our client has a pipeline of exciting new products for the specialist lending market. Our client provides borrowers with finance to cover legal costs associated with a range of Legal proceedings, including divorce, contentious probate and other civil litigation.

About the role of Business Development Manager

We are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to progress their career within the financial services sector with a growing business. You will be responsible for sourcing and developing new partner relationships with relevant businesses, primarily legal firms.
You will create and manage a pipeline, build relationships with partners, promoting the benefits of the finance products available. This will involve a high volume of face to face meetings, product demonstrations and webinars. You will manage relationships with partners you bring on and will be their point of contact on an ongoing basis

Responsibilities and Experience required for the role of Business Development Manager

  • Pipeline development, including lead sourcing, initiating with strategic partners
  • Delivery of lending targets across a defined region
  • Undertake face to face meetings with potential partners, seeking to formalize partnership agreements
  • Develop relationships with partner firms to build a loan pipeline
  • Provide the highest quality and unrivalled level of customer service to partner firms
  • Provide demonstrations to partner firms, assisting in setting up and managing user accounts
  • Proactively engaging in product development, taking feedback from partner firms and translating into product improvement and/or new product lines.
  • Assist with marketing activity, including attending conferences and industry networking events
  • Experience required for the position of Business Development Manager:
  • Experience gained in a business development position with a lender with exposure to developing relationships with introducers/partners.
  • Driven and ambitious, passionate about working for a start up with the ability to be adaptable and agile
  • Demonstrate success in hitting new business in a business to business environment, working to and achieving sales targets within consumer finance with an active interest in the legal industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • High quality consultative sales skills
