About the Role of Procurement Manager:
We have a new vacancy for a Procurement Manager covering maternity leave on a fixed-term contract for 15 months. You will support all procurement activities, working in close partnership with the business to define and implement effective procurement strategies. Your focus will be on delivering shared objectives, including reducing cost, risk mitigation and continuous improvement in service quality. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience, a proven track record, and success in procurement management
Responsibilities for the position of Procurement Manager:
- Providing insight into current market trends and supplier capabilities
- Establishing procurement best practices
- Using analysis of spend MI to develop and implement sourcing strategies to provide cost savings, improve quality and increase efficiencies.
- Providing support for all procurement-related projects and ensuring these are in line with the business policy and procedures
- Building strong relationships across the business and with the supplier base, ensuring that business strategies are integrated into the procurement planning process
- Reviewing contracts with the Legal team and advising the business accordingly
- Preparing RFx documentations and leading the RFP, RFI and competitive tender process
- Negotiating pricing and T&C’s
Experience Required for the position of Procurement Manager:
- Proven track record and success with procurement management
- 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant procurement role, ideally within a financial services environment and able to demonstrate understanding of procurement principles and best practices
- Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
- A self-reliant, adaptable and self-motivated individual
- Ability to form productive relationships at all levels (including C-suite)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within established internal controls and maintain a high standard of quality across all your tasks.
