Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am-5.30pm

About the role of Change Manager

Our client is an established and rapidly expanding specialist mortgage lender offering huge scope to progress with their business.

We have a new opportunity to join the delivery team, focusing on the discovery of new propositions, reviewing commercial or technology-based initiatives to enhance the first charge mortgage proposition. This will involve managing builds, business readiness, assessing the impacts on the business, testing, assessment of how new regulatory changes could impact the business and continuous improvement.
You will research first charge mortgage lending opportunities, determine if they are commercially viable, manage the proposition delivery and commercial initiatives including discovery formation through delivery and embedding change.

Responsibilities for the role of Change Manager

  • Undertake research (discoveries) to determine and quantify opportunities, expected ROI, options and solution design to meet commercial objective and deliverables can achieve the defined benefits.
  • Full delivery lifecycle ownership for portfolio of small to medium sized commercial initiatives, continuous improvements and discoveries aligned to the commercial function’s way of working
  • Own and maintain a holistic plan across commercial to ensure a balanced and effective delivery
  • Effective management of scope, resource, quality, schedule, and budget
  • Challenge delivery requirements, solutions and assumptions as required
  • Adhere to controls throughout the delivery cycle
  • Provide delivery status reporting
  • Produce engaging meeting material, pitched at the appropriate level, to escalate issues and facilitate decision making
  • Maintain documentation to a high standard
  • Set realistic and practical goals for delivery and develop appropriate strategies for achieving these goals
  • Own the development and execution of an effective training strategy and where required, delivery of training as for commercial initiatives
  • Completion of the required delivery artefacts to a high-quality standard enabling successful end to end delivery (example artefacts to include process, procedures, target operating models, business readiness checklists
  • Create and maintain risk and issue registers to internal standards
  • Contribute to the wider commercial portfolio mapping for both risks and dependency management
  • Develop delivery plans to manage commercial discoveries and the end-to-end commercial initiative delivery activities
  • Collaborate with the MD, Propositions Director, and head of Proposition delivery on a variety of tasks to meet the firms’ objectives
  • Fulfil stakeholder expectations and requirements

Experience required for the role of Change Manager

  • Proven track record in leading, developing and delivering change within a resource constrained and ambiguous environment
  • Experience in producing and executing project, implementation and readiness plans which consider resource constraints, critical path, and inter-dependencies
  • Hands on experience of producing high quality artefacts across the end-to-end Lifecyle of delivery
  • Solid understanding of project and change methodologies, strategies and frameworks including risk-based approach to project management
  • Proven experience working with and managing suppliers and third parties
  • Seeks opportunities for collaborating and sharing best practice
  • Experience of managing and influencing stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of regulatory practices, ensuring deliverables are complaint
  • Prince 2 or equivalent
  • Change management qualifications would be highly desirable
  • Conflict mitigation – ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • People skills with the ability to influence
