Salary: Up to £45,000

About the role of Assistant Product Manager

This role will be a key part of the Product team providing essential support on the proposition aspects of the lifetime mortgages business.
The Assistant Product Manager will be a pro-active individual and will need to quickly build an understanding of our client’s customers and products. They will be a customer champion and hub for product knowledge in the business and will be expected to support the Product Manager by analysing, managing, and providing suggestions for enhancing products. The role holder will be expected to manage smaller projects independently and provide support to the Lending Product Manager and the Head of Lending.
Responsibilities required for the role of Assistant Product Manager

  • Assisting in the production of product review and product development governance documents; maintain library of governance items
  • Co-ordinating the maintenance and production of customer and adviser-facing literature items such as Terms and Conditions and Lending Policy
  • Working with the Marketing, PR, and Digital departments to develop campaigns, tools and literature for the product
  • Administration of mortgage sourcing and competitor intelligence relationships
  • Regular monitoring of service performance, customer satisfaction, call survey results, complaints, and breaches – root cause analysis and rectification of issues.
  • Being an escalation point for operational issues and complaints
  • Gathering, and interpretation, of MI and data to monitor key product performance metrics
  • Producing and updating competitor reporting and market reports
  • Undertaking research projects to help understand trading and market trends

Experience required for the role of Assistant Product Manager

  • Product management experience within a lending related business
  • High levels of literacy and numeracy, with the ability to spot patterns in sets of data to help inform recommendations for improvements to products and the customer experience
  • Structured and organised, with the ability to plan tasks and manage projects
  • An eye for detail with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all areas of the business and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Confidence to influence and communicate at all levels
